Every brands know that majority of muslims are not interested in participating Hindu festivals, but only few like Surf Excel has the courage to exploit this truth.
Yesterday, another Hindu brand ‘Hindu’stan Unilever released an ad that stereotyping Muslims. This Surf Excel advertising commercial portrayed a young Muslim boy who’s not willing to integrate with a Hindu majority society.
Above said TV commercial created big noise among netizen on Facebook and Twitter. As the noise dying off the internet, another strong voice emerges from Darul Uloom Deoband, Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh.

To break this stereotypical narrative, Darul Uloom Deoband planning to celebrate Muharram alongside with Holi this year, using organic color. Muharram and Holi, both are colorful festivals, we must not shy away from this fact. And most importanly, everyone must join and celebrate this festival of colors.
